Seven Dwarves – Sneezy

by jojo52 @ 2006-04-04 - 23:04:01

There must be something in the air. It’s making me sneeze and I don’t like it. When I was a child I was forever sneezing and I was a natural for the part of Sneezy, being short and snuffly.

A short-sighted kid with allergies – such a cliché! I’m just a little taller now that’s all.

I noticed frost this morning – it’s always a mistake to say that spring is in the air. That’ll learn me. It was very chilly walking back from dancing just now as well so I won’t be casting clouts yet awhile. Sometimes I just don’t feel like making the effort to go out in the evening but I’m glad I did. The mind enema effect is so much more effective for relaxation than sitting at home brooding.

The game boy has come out of retirement – it does from time to time. There is something rather soothing about tetris, so long as the music isn’t on. It was a machine the boy discarded many years ago so it’s a big old clunky one and I toy with the idea occasionally of upgrading to one with go faster stripes but this has a familiar feel. It’s lost its battery cover so the batteries are held in with crumbling sellotape. It has personality. There is something glib and anonymous about the newer ones. Probably be dusting off the N64 next. A games nostalgia trip.

I do have a book currently on the go as well but it is a slow read. A kind of meander really. Attention All Shipping by Charlie Connelly. A trip around the shipping forecast and the chapter I’m in is around my favourite part of the country so my thoughts keep fluttering off to the view from the IKB bridge across the Tamar and the glittering sea, the boats in the harbour……..

That’s me off………
