Get the priorities sorted on New Year’s Day and the rest of the year should fall into place.
So I bought four new tea towels today. And a diary.
See what I have planned for the year!
It’s amazing what a difference it makes when New Year’s Day dawns bright and sunny – at least I assume it did as it was still quite sunny and bright at 11am when I finally surfaced. That must be the latest lie-in I’ve had in donkey’s ages and certainly the latest I’ve had this year. Not that I was drinking in the New Year in an alcoholic whirlwind social doodah or anything. In fact I didn’t get through more than a third of a miniature bottle of Amarula and the only thing that kept me awake this side of midnight was a text from my sister at 1am saying her boyfriend wanted a picture of my boobs to show his friends.
I haven’t thought about resolutions today. As always, I need a few days to think about it. Christmas needs to be packed away in all seventeen of its boxes (and the fourteen trees re-forested in the attic) before I can comfortably settle down to my resolution preparation.
The 2007 notebook is as yet blank and waiting for the writing of our lives upon the pages. Let’s to it…..
